Coming From Barnard Castle or Durham

We are situated approximately 6 miles from Barnard Castle. Take the B6278 from Barnard Castle towards Eggleston. As you near Eggleston you will come down a steep hill known as Folly Bank (where incidentally  there is an amazing view of Upper Teesdale). At the bottom of the hill on the corner at Lowsons Garage turn right towards Stanhope and Blackton on the B6278. Travel 200 meters and on the right hand side of the road there is a sign for Stobgreen House. The house is set back from the road 200 meters up the hill. Please open the largest set of gates. They open outwards! Please close the gates if they were closed when you arrived.

Coming From Middleton in Teesdale

We are situated approximately 3 miles from Middleton in Teesdale just off the B6282.  When you reach Eggleston take the first turn left off the B6282 into the village, the Village Green should be on your right (if you miss this turning take the next turn left and the Green will be on your left) Drive up through the village to the top of the Green, you will drive past The Three Tuns Public House to the left, at the T junction turn right. Travel approximately 400 meters down this road. On the left hand side you will see a sign for Stobgreen House. The house is set back from the road 200 meters up the hill. Please open the largest set of gates. They open outwards! Please close the gates if they were closed when you arrived.
